KIDSGROVE WHEELERS ROAD RACING RESULTS Well
so far this is an easy one with Paul Williams ( aka party boy) the only
one who is racing he accumlited a grand total of three points for (1
point for starting 2 points for finishing)
Well finished in
a break of two me an some other guy. the race was over before it began
really a break went away from the gun with around 10 riders tryed to
get across but couldnt manage then was brought back tony then broke
away with another guy and i managed to get across but had to chase hard
and went back to main group! then finally got away on swinnerton hill
on 3rd lap then stayed away till finish but couldnt catch tonys group!
so well pleased did a bit of work! Well
what a ride patto did first ever road race stayed in the main bunch
no worries and loved it was seen draggin the bunch round on more than
one occasion looking good patto! see ya in my group next week! TLI cheshire points series race two With patto marshelling this week partyboy extended his lead by another two points however was very lazy this avent and languised at the back of the peleton for five laps then had a little dig but then went staight back to the back again, all good training though and will have to do better next week as will be working for patto!!!! TLI cheshire points series race three Party-boy was the only kidsgrove rider there this week and stayed in the bunch for the duration of the race tryed a few efforts of the front but pace was quick this week and struggled to make any impact on the race. the step up in class has kept me struggling to get of back of group. but i suppose its another 2 points however really need to start getting more involved in proceedings on the front of bunch. hot day ideal for conditions for good road race. Again the break went
real early, was inevitable with scattering of 1st cat riders. Missed
the move and with one rider from deeside in the move there team then
shut down the race with any attempt at a chase soon came to an end as
we were unable to get organised. finished in group, but great days racing,
in a great venue! Party-boy / Scouse was yet again the only kidsgrove wheeler representing. Was a fast paced race with a break going early (first lap) there was a lot of activity on the front of main bunch trying to jump across to the break but no one was successful. finished in main bunch again. TLI JF Parkinson Road Race stage 1 time trial enjoyed the hill stage was good fun. however when it came to the road race it took more out of me than expected and was dropped on the third lap of stage 2. it was a fast race and struggled to stay on after the sprint primes and the 3rd lap proved a sprint to far. the lucky side of it was i managed to miss the major thunder storm the races was caught in during the final lap. Oulton Park Race 2/3 How fast are these races. i thought i was in ok shape but when i got hear it was soon proved i was lacking in speed and stamina infact it crossed my mind a few times am i cut out for this sport. W"hat a buzz though was dropped with two laps to go but timetrailed to the finish with another 2 riders.Chris had a blinder in this race were he stayed with the group and went for the sprint in his secound road race well done chris. Oulton Park Race 3/3 Third race actually managed to finish in the main group i must be getting fitter just in time for the series to end ha ha ha !!! Chris pateerson raced in the over 50's and was going really well infact looked up to speed until last lap were he punctured. Lyme RC Road Race (swynnerton road race) This was a tought race was dropped pretty much from the gun as legs were tired from the race the day before and lacked any zip. loved it though chased for 3 laps treated it as training. still had a big smile on my face at the end.
